How to get to Bruges?
You can get to Bruges by car from France on the A1 highway. Several car parks are available around the pedestrian city centre. You can also take a train that will drop you off at Bruges train station, which is less than a kilometre away from the historic centre.
When is the best time to visit Bruges?
In order to avoid mass tourism and fully enjoy the charm of the city, you should go to Bruges in the morning. From 9:30AM, there is less queueing, especially at the belfry. It will give you more time for other activities.
How long does it take to visit Bruges?
If you want to make the most of all the activities that Bruges has to offer, then you should spend a day there. However, if you wish to fully visit all the museums, you may need an extra half day. Bring a detailed city map with you to save time when travelling around in Bruges. The city center is filled with architectural treasures.
