On June 6, 1944, known as "D Day", the Allies opened a new front in Europe against the troops of the 3rd Reich in the Second World War. It was the biggest military operation in history, marking the launch of the Battle of Normandy and leading to the end of the Second World War. More than 150,000 American, British, Canadian and many other nationalities landed by sea and air on various Normandy beaches (Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Juno Beach...), as well as at Pointe du Hoc.

The program for this excursion varies according to the time of year

December 2023 to March 2024
Departure at 7:00 a.m. from your hotel in Paris for a 4-hour trip by minibus to the D-Day landing beaches.
Your first stop is Utah beach, where you can visit the D-Day Museum. The museum will take you back to the events of D-Day, explaining the key stages of the D-Day landings, from preparation to completion.
Then on to the village of Sainte Mère Eglise, where you'll discover the Airborne Museum. Experience total immersion thanks to the interactive tablet provided to enhance your visit. You'll be able to experience and understand the different events that made this region a part of history. You'll have free time for lunch after the visit.
Then discover Omaha Beach (also known as "The Beach of Blood"), the landing beach where the Allies lost the most troops. It lies below the 70-hectare Colleville Cemetery, which you'll visit next. The famous Saint-Laurent American Military Cemetery features 9387 white marble headstones, a memorial, a chapel and a garden of the missing. Today, it honors the American soldiers who died in the Battle of Normandy during the Second World War, and is one of 25 permanent U.S. burial sites abroad.

April 2024 to March 2025
Departure at 7:00 a.m. from the Pullman Hotel in Paris for a 4-hour drive to the D-Day landing beaches.
The day begins at the heroic Pointe du Hoc, an emotionally-charged site where you can feel the daring and courage of American soldiers during the D-Day landings of 1944. The majestic cliffs offer a breathtaking view of the English Channel, a reminder of the strategic importance of this position during the battle.
Next, head for the legendary Omaha Beach, one of the D-Day landing beaches. Walk on the sands where history was written, feel the emotion that permeates these places and understand the scale of the sacrifice made for freedom.
The Colleville-sur-Mer American Cemetery is a poignant tribute to our fallen heroes. You'll be struck by the solemn calm that reigns among the graves lined up with respect and dignity, a moving testament to human greatness and bravery.
After this intense experience, let yourself be carried away to a moment of relaxation in a refined restaurant, where you can sample Norman cuisine while sharing your impressions with the other participants.
Finally, the day ends on a high note, with a choice between Juno Beach, where Canadian troops played a key role in the liberation of Normandy, or the historic port of Arromanches, where the remains of the artificial harbour bear witness to the logistical genius deployed during the battle.
